Theory Behind Auto Friend Adding

The Six Degrees of Separation theory suggests that any two people in the world, who do not know each other, can establish a connection through a small number of intermediaries. This concept was tested in 1967 by Harvard University psychology professor Stanley Milgram, who conducted a chain letter experiment, attempting to prove that it only takes an average of six steps to connect any two strangers. Workflow

  1. Run the AUTOF software
  2. Enter the LINE account
  3. Import the friend list
  4. Start adding friends

Installation

Installation Requirements

This software must be installed on a personal computer running the Microsoft Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system.

System Requirements

The software must be installed on a computer with a Microsoft Windows 10/11 64-bit operating system. The following configuration is recommended:

  1. Processor: Intel Core i5 or higher
  2. Memory: 16GB RAM or more
  3. Hard Disk Space: At least 500GB SATA III hard drive
  4. Display: 1920x1080 pixel resolution or higher

If you're unsure whether your computer meets these specifications, you can first install the free version for testing. As long as the free version runs smoothly, the professional version will also function without issues.

Install LINE Desktop Version

To ensure proper software operation, you need to install the correct version of the LINE desktop application. Please click the link below to download it.

Install Software

Once the AUTOF software is downloaded, unzip the compressed file to begin the installation.

  1. Open the folder and click the Setup.exe executable file.
  2. The AUTOF installation wizard will appear. Click Next.
  3. Choose the AUTOF installation folder, the default is C:\Program Files(x86)\autoF\autoF\, and after selection, click Next.
  4. Confirm the installation and click Next to begin installing the AUTOF software.
  5. After the installation is complete, click Close to finish.

Execute Program

Click Start, choose All Programs, and you can find the autoF program shortcut under autoF.


Execution Steps

For the first time running AUTOF, please follow these 3 steps:

  1. Click Edit in the LINE Account section at the top of the AUTOF main program.
  2. On the LINE account edit page, enter your Account and Password, then click Add.
  3. Click the Extract Service Icon at the top, then click the Click to Start (F7) button below. You will see AUTOF begin to automatically add friends.

Environmental Settings

Text Application and Item Size

  • For Windows 10 users, click Start, select Settings, then click System, and set Change the size of text, apps, and other items to 100%.
  • For Windows 11 users, click Start, select Settings, then click on Display under System, and set Scale to 100%.

Other Applications and Scheduling Settings

To avoid interruptions caused by background tasks, please disable Windows background scheduled tasks such as disk defragmentation, scheduled antivirus scans, hardware checks, Windows or other software auto-updates, etc.


Execution Steps

To begin executing AUTOF, you can follow the steps below for setting it up:

  1. LINE Account Settings

The AUTOF automatic friend adding bot supports switching between multiple accounts.

  1. Click on the LINE Account above, then click Edit.
  2. On the LINE account edit page, enter the account and password you want to use for automatic friend adding, and after entering, click Add.

LINE Account Edit

To add a LINE account, first prepare the LINE account. The account must be loginable via email + password. Before adding, please manually log in on LINE Desktop and complete the following settings. After completing these settings, either log in manually or close the program, and LINE will save the login information for each account.

  • Complete security verification.
  • Set the chat window to minimize.
  • Disable system settings and set the display mode to light.
  • Disable pop-up reminders.

Other parameter explanations are as follows:

  • Account: Enter the account.
  • Password: Enter the password.
  • Add: Add the entered account and password to the AUTOF main program.
  • Starting Number of Friends: Enter the number of friends the account has added.
  • Remarks: Enter remarks for the account.
  • Last Add Friend Time: The time since the last time the account added a friend.
  • Check Execution: The time to check the status of the account.
  • Login: Log in to the account.
  • Search Time: Reset the check execution time.
  • Pin: Pin the account.
  • Initialize: Initialize the account record.
  • Delete: Delete the account.

Robot Parameters

  • Robot Code: You can set the code for the robot.
  • Query Correct ID or Phone Number: Set whether to report the list; select Query only, no progress report.
  • Correct Searchable User ID: Set a user ID that can be searched for verification.
  • Correct Searchable Phone Number: Set a phone number that can be searched for verification.
  • Query Correct Country for Phone Number: Set the country for verifying phone numbers.

    Please note! Currently, LINE cannot search and register phone numbers from different countries. For example, a Taiwan account can only add Taiwan phone numbers and cannot add numbers from Japan or Thailand.

  • Report Correct User ID or Phone Number Before Searching: Set whether to report the correct user ID or phone number before searching.
  • Report Progress After Searching Every Few Friends: Set how many friends should be searched before reporting progress.
  • End Search Report Correct User ID and Phone Number: Set whether to report the search result to the correct user ID or phone number after the search ends.
  • Wait for n Seconds After Login Before Continuing: Set the wait time after logging into the LINE account.
  • Start LINE Program Before Logging in: Set whether to open the LINE program before logging into the LINE account.
  • Wait Seconds Before Reopening LINE After Closing: Set the wait time after LINE closes and reopens.
  • Wait Seconds After Starting LINE Program: Set the wait time after starting the LINE program.
  • Clear LINE Cache Before Logging in: Set whether to clear the LINE cache before logging in.
  • Restart PPPoE Before Logging in: Set whether to restart the PPPoE connection before logging into the LINE account.
  • Actions After Opening LINE Program: Set actions to perform after opening the LINE program, such as "Move window to top left," "Close chat window," "Cancel reminders," or "Delete all chat history."
  • Mouse Movement Speed: Set the speed for mouse movement.
  • Move Mouse to LINE Icon on Toolbar After Closing LINE: Set whether to move the mouse to the LINE icon on the toolbar after closing LINE.
  • Prioritize Accounts with Fewer Friends: Set whether AUTOF should start adding friends from the account with the fewest friends.
  • Maximum Friends to Add per Account: Set the maximum number of friends each LINE account can add.
  • Maximum Friends per Search Session: Set the maximum number of friends added per session after logging in.
  • Wait n Seconds After Adding Friend Before Continuing: Set the wait time after adding a friend before continuing.
  • Maximum Friends Added per Hour: Set the maximum number of friends that can be added within an hour.
  • Maximum Friends Added per Day: Set the maximum number of friends that can be added in one day.
  • Wait Time for Inputting Verification Code: Set the waiting time for entering the verification code.
  • Wait Time for Account without Verification Code: Set the waiting time for accounts without a verification code.
  • Add Phone Number Country Selection: Set the country for adding phone numbers.

    Please note! Currently, LINE cannot search and register phone numbers from different countries. For example, a Taiwan account can only add Taiwan phone numbers and cannot add numbers from Japan or Thailand.

  • Wait n Seconds After Excessive Search Errors: Set the waiting time after multiple consecutive search errors.
  • Search Correct User ID or Phone Number After n Failed Friend Searches: Set whether to search for the correct user ID or phone number after consecutive search failures.
  • Switch Account After Exceeding Search Error Limit: If a single account exceeds the search error limit, switch accounts.
  • Wait n Hours for Account After Reaching Search Error Limit: Set the wait time before re-login after exceeding the search error limit.
  • Stop Robot After n Minutes, Reboot Windows: Set the time after which the AUTOF main program stops and Windows is rebooted.
  • Auto Start Robot After Windows Startup: Set whether the AUTOF program starts automatically after the computer starts.
  • Wait n Seconds After Windows Startup to Start Robot Program: Set the waiting time after Windows starts before starting the AUTOF program.
  • Execute Bulk Exposure, Delete Friend After Adding Each Round: Set whether to perform bulk exposure.
  • Increase Friend Deletion by n per Round: Set how many friends to delete after each bulk exposure.
  • Wait n Seconds After Expanding or Collapsing LINE List: Set the wait time after expanding or collapsing the LINE list.
  • System Color Parameters: Set the color for the LINE button in the AUTOF main program.
  • Restore Default Values: Restore robot parameters to the default settings.

    Robot Code Name

The code name is not restricted and does not affect operations.

When querying the correct ID or phone number: Please select "Query Only, Do Not Report Progress."

Please select Query Only, Do Not Report Progress. When verifying accounts, the correct ID or phone number added cannot be an existing friend. Existing friends cannot be used for verification.

Correct User ID That Can Be Searched and Reported

Please set a valid user ID for verification purposes. The default public test number is autoftest.

Please set a valid phone number for verification purposes.

Country Selection for Correct Phone Number Query

If the correct phone number’s country is different from the country of the account being added as a friend, please set the country switch setting.

Select Country

First, choose the country of the LINE account's phone number, then select the country of the phone number you want to search for. After selecting, click the conversion button. The program will automatically determine whether the country switch for LINE is up or down by how many countries. Once completed, click modify.

Please verify whether LINE accounts in different regions can add friends across countries.

Should progress be reported with the correct user ID or phone number before the search?

Report Progress After Searching How Many Friends?

How many friends should be searched before reporting progress to the correct user ID or phone number? The default value is 100 friends.

Report Correct User ID and Phone Number After Search Completion

After completing the search, the program will send the search results to the correct user ID or phone number.


LINE Account

Wait Time After Logging In Before Continuing

Time to wait (in seconds) after logging into the LINE account. The default value is 60 seconds. You can adjust based on your computer's performance and network speed.

Open LINE Program Before Logging In

The program will first open the LINE program before logging into the LINE account.

Wait Time Before Reopening LINE After Closing

Wait time (in seconds) before restarting the LINE program after it has been closed. The default value is 60 seconds. Adjust according to your computer's performance and network speed.

Wait Time After Opening LINE Program

Time to wait (in seconds) after opening the LINE program before starting execution. The default value is 60 seconds. Adjust based on your computer's performance and network speed.

Clear LINE Cache Before Logging In

Enable this feature, and each time the LINE account logs in, the robot will clear the LINE cache.

Restart PPPoE Before Logging In

Enable this feature, and the robot will restart the PPPoE connection before each login, changing the IP address.

Modify PPPoE Connection Parameters

Set up PPPoE connection parameters for Windows, including connection name, account, password, and other details.

Wait Time Before Opening Web Page After Disconnect

Wait time (in seconds) after PPPoE disconnects, with the default value of 5 seconds.

Wait Time Before Testing Connection After PPPoE Restart

Wait time (in seconds) to test the connection after restarting PPPoE. The default value is 15 seconds.

Actions After Opening LINE Program

After opening the LINE program, four actions can be performed: "Move window to the top left corner", "Close chat window", "Cancel reminders", or "Delete all chat records". Check the desired options to enable them.

Mouse Move Display

Choose how fast the cursor moves when the mouse moves: "None", "Slow", or "Fast".

Mouse Moves to LINE Icon on Toolbar

When moving the mouse, it should go over the LINE icon on the toolbar.


Add Friend Rules

Prioritize Accounts with the Fewest Friends First

Enable this feature, and the program will prioritize working with LINE accounts that have the fewest friends. It is recommended to enable this option.

Maximum Number of Friends to Add Per LINE Account

Set the maximum number of friends that can be added by a LINE account. The default value is 5000. It is recommended not to change this.

Maximum Number of Friends to Search in One Session

Set the maximum number of friends to search for in a single session before switching accounts. The default value is 9. It is recommended not to change this.

Wait Time After Adding Friend Before Continuing

Wait time (in seconds) after adding a friend before continuing the task. The default value is 3 seconds. It is recommended not to change this.

Maximum Number of Friends to Add Within One Hour

Set the maximum number of friends that can be added by an account within one hour. The default value is 9. It is recommended not to change this.

Maximum Number of Friends to Add Within One Day

Set the maximum number of friends that can be added by an account within one day. The default value is 299. It is recommended not to change this.


Verification Code

Wait Time for Entering Verification Code

The wait time (in seconds) for entering the verification code. The default value is 60 seconds.

Wait Time for Account Without Verification Code

The wait time (in minutes) for an account that has not entered the verification code. The default value is 60 minutes.


Country

Should Country Be Selected Before Searching for Phone Numbers?

If the country of the phone number in the friend list is different from the LINE account's country, please set up the country switch setting.

Country Selection for Adding Phone Numbers

Select Country

Set up by selecting the country of the LINE account's phone number, then select the country of the phone number you want to search. After selecting, click the conversion button. The program will automatically determine whether the country switch for LINE is up or down by how many countries. Once completed, click modify.

Please confirm that the LINE account being used can add friends across different countries.


When Search Fails

Waiting Time for Continuing Operations After Excessive Search Failures

When there are more than 4 consecutive failures in searching for friends, the program will pause the account’s operations for the waiting time. The default value is 3600 seconds, and it is recommended not to modify this setting.

Force Searching with Correct User ID or Phone Number After Consecutive Failures

After failing to search for friends several times consecutively, the program will force a search with the correct user ID or phone number. The default value is 3 times, and it is recommended not to modify this setting.

When Total Search Failures Reach a Certain Number, Switch Account

When the total number of search failures for an account reaches a certain threshold, the account will be switched. The default value is 49 failures, and it is recommended not to modify this setting.

Waiting Time in Hours for Accounts Exceeding Total Search Failures

When the total number of searches exceeds the set number, the program will judge that the account is problematic and pause for a certain number of hours before resuming. The default value is 24 hours, and it is recommended not to modify this setting.


Boot Up Execution

Stop Program After X Minutes and Reboot Windows

After enabling this option, the program will execute for a set number of minutes before commanding Windows to reboot. The default value is 120 minutes.

Automatically Operate After Program Starts

After enabling this option, the program will automatically execute tasks once it is opened.

Waiting Time in Seconds to Start Program After Windows Boot

This is the waiting time for the program to start after Windows boots. The default value is 60 seconds.


Bulk Exposure of Extraction Service

This is a process of adding friends, then deleting them, and continuing to cycle in this way.

Execute Bulk Exposure, Delete Friend Immediately After Adding, Then Continue Next Round

Enable this option to start the bulk exposure mode of the extraction service.

Increase Number of Friends Deleted After Each Deletion

This sets how many friends will be added after each friend is deleted. The default value is 3 friends.

Waiting Time for Expanding or Collapsing LINE List

This sets the waiting time for expanding or collapsing the LINE list. The default value is 3 seconds.


System Color Parameters

This option allows for correction when the LINE program interface color is changed to the default color.


Restore Default Settings

Restores all parameters mentioned above to their default values.


LINE Interface Test

Modify the mouse operation process for the LINE interface. In special cases, specify the relative mouse movement and the position of the LINE program interface for each action. Please refer to the blue text instructions above for setting details.


Friend Adding List

  • Status Initialization: Initializes the status of all accounts.
  • Clear Errors: Clears all error records of the accounts.
  • Add User ID / Add Phone Number / Keyword Search: Choose to add friends using their ID, phone number, or search accounts with specific keywords.
  • Select Country (Phone Number Specific): Choose the country for the phone numbers to be added.

    Please note! Currently, LINE cannot add phone numbers from different countries than the registered account. For example, a Taiwanese account can only add Taiwanese phone numbers and cannot add phone numbers from Japan or Thailand.

  • Import ID / Import Phone Number: Import an ID list or phone number list.
  • Edit Keywords (Keyword Search Specific): Edit the keywords to search for specific accounts.
  • Switch Account After Reaching Maximum Search Failures: If the number of search failures reaches the set limit for a specific account, the program will switch the account.
  • Wait n Hours After Reaching Maximum Search Failures for Account: The program will wait a certain number of hours before re-logging in after the account reaches the search failure threshold.
  • Search Target (Keyword Search Specific): Choose whether to search for regular accounts or official accounts on LINE.
  • Wait n Seconds After Opening Webpage (Keyword Search Specific): Set the waiting time after opening the webpage for keyword search.
  • Wait n Seconds After Closing Webpage (Keyword Search Specific): Set the waiting time after closing the webpage.
  • Scroll m Times and Wait n Seconds After Opening Webpage (Keyword Search Specific): Set how many times the webpage should scroll down after opening, along with the waiting time.

Extraction Service

  • Status Initialization: Allows the initialization of the status for all accounts.
  • Clear Errors: Allows clearing all error records for the accounts.
  • TEL Personal/ID Personal/ID Business: Allows selecting the method and type of friends to add.
  • Test: Tests whether the list can be successfully extracted.
  • Region: Allows selecting the region for adding friends.

    Please note! The regional classification of the extraction service is based on data provided by LINE Corporation. Since the data source is not from our company, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy in the classification data, nor do we know how LINE Corporation determines regional boundaries. Therefore, our company is not responsible for the classification data. If you encounter misclassification, we apologize for the inconvenience!

  • Gender: Allows selecting the gender of the friends to be added.

    Please note! The gender classification of the extraction service is based on the photo displayed in the friend’s profile, using AI and human recognition to categorize the LINE friend list. However, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy in the classification data, especially when friends change their profile picture or when the photo does not depict the person, such as when it is a child, a group photo, a landscape, a cartoon, or any other image that cannot be identified as the person or their gender. Our company is not responsible for the classification data. If you encounter misclassification, we apologize for the inconvenience!

  • Start from n: Start adding friends from the nth list entry.
  • Select Country (Phone Number Restriction): Allows selecting the country whose phone numbers should be added.

    Please note! Currently, LINE cannot add phone numbers from a different country than the account’s registration country. For example, a Taiwan account can only add Taiwanese phone numbers, and cannot add numbers from Japan, Thailand, or other countries.

  • Mass Exposure (Add First, Then Delete Continuously) (Execute Only When Friend Count is Greater Than 300): Allows choosing whether to immediately execute the friend deletion action after adding friends.
  • Switch Account After n Errors in Search: Switch to another account when the search error count for a single account reaches the limit.
  • Wait n Hours After Reaching Search Error Limit for Account: Defines the waiting period before re-logging in after an account exceeds the search error limit.

Delete Friends

  • Number of friends to delete per action (n): You can set the number of friends to be deleted each time a deletion action is performed.
  • Total number of friends to delete (n): You can set the total number of friends you want to delete.

Add to Group

  • Set the number of groups to join: You can set the number of groups to create and join.
  • Reset completed count to zero: You can reset the number of completed actions to zero.

Blacklist

  • Add: You can add to the blacklist.
  • Remove: You can remove from the blacklist.

Extract Service to Add Friends

Set up your LINE account, click on the AUTOF extraction service, choose the search criteria and options, and after completing the settings, click to start the operation.

LINE Account Setup

  1. First, click on LINE Account at the top of the main program, then click Edit.
  2. On the LINE account edit page, enter the account number and password, and after entering them, click the Add button on the right.

Start Running

  1. Then click on the Extraction Service icon in the AUTOF friend-adding robot’s main program.

  2. In the extraction service page, set the search criteria for the friend list, which includes the following three options:

    • TEL Personal: Add friends using their phone numbers.
    • ID Personal: Add friends using their user ID.
    • ID Business: Add friends using the LINE@ business ID.
  3. After completing the settings, you can choose whether to select a region and gender.

    If you choose TEL Personal, be sure to use a phone number registered in the same country, and select the country code accordingly.

  4. Then, check the options Switch account if the error count exceeds n and Mass exposure (add first, delete later, keep doing this) (only run when friends count is over 300).

  5. Click Click here to start (F7) to start the AUTOF automatic friend-adding robot’s extraction service.


Can I Use a LINE Account Bound to a Foreign Phone Number?

Since the LINE account uses the country code of the bound phone number by default when searching phone numbers, you must switch the country code to correctly search for phone numbers from different countries.

The robot parameter settings allow you to choose a custom country code switch option to help you select the correct country code.

Note! Please confirm that the LINE account you are using can add friends across countries and regions.


Why Is There a 24-Hour Waiting Time?

If you encounter a 24-hour waiting time, it might be due to the following situations:

  1. The robot cannot log into the account properly.
  2. The robot cannot verify the correct ID or phone number that can be reported (LINE blocks the search function).
  3. The LINE account has been blocked by the official search function.

Please manually log into the problematic account on LINE’s desktop version. Check if login and friend search functions are working properly (try once to check the status, do not attempt multiple times).


Language Selection

The software supports three languages: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English. You can switch languages through the Settings -> Language option.


Uninstallation Guide

If you wish to remove AUTOF Marketing Bot, you can follow the steps below to complete the uninstallation:

  1. Click the Start menu at the bottom left of your computer.
  2. Find and click the AUTOF folder.
  3. Click Uninstall AUTOF.
  4. In the pop-up confirmation window, click Yes, and the uninstallation will be completed.

Changing the Internet IP Address

When executing online marketing, social platforms like LINE, Facebook, Instagram, QQ, WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram, etc., may restrict account features if abnormal activity is detected. In such cases, changing your internet IP address is one effective way to resolve the issue, reset restrictions, and continue with your marketing efforts.

Here are several common methods for changing your IP address, along with their advantages and disadvantages:

1. Restarting (Dialing) the Router

  • Principle: Many home and office networks use dynamic IPs, and restarting (dialing) the router can obtain a new IP.
  • Steps:
    1. Turn off the router and wait for 1 minute before turning it back on.
    2. Once the router reconnects, check if the IP has changed.
  • Advanced Suggestions:
    • If the marketing bot software includes a router restart feature, you can directly input the internet account information in the software and enable this function.
    • If the IP still hasn't changed, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to confirm whether a static IP is being used.

2. Using a VPN (Virtual Private Network)

  • Principle: A VPN routes your traffic through an encrypted tunnel to other servers, simulating an IP from a different location.
  • Advantages:
    • A wide range of IPs to choose from.
    • Enhanced privacy and security.
  • Considerations:
