How to Optimize Your Computer for Use as a Marketing Robot?

Preparing one or more computers for the Marketing Robot to work (marketing) for you 24 hours a day is currently a popular method in online marketing! For the Marketing Robot to operate normally for an extended period, the stability and performance of the computer environment are very important! This article is written by Teacher Mantou, mainly sharing how to adjust the computer environment to create a suitable environment for the Marketing Robot to operate efficiently and for a long time.

First, let's talk about the computer environment. The OS (Operating System) is the fundamental software for the computer. Keeping the computer environment clean (without too many unrelated processes running) helps the Marketing Robot operate smoothly. The Marketing Robot is installed on a personal computer running the Windows operating system. The latest version of Microsoft's Windows OS is Windows 10, although the Marketing Robot can also operate on Windows 7 or Windows 8. However, we still recommend using Windows 10 to install the Marketing Robot, as it offers better security and stability. Below are optimizations for the Windows 10 environment.

Adjusting the computer’s operations can be divided into two main categories: “Optimization Operations” and “Disabling Interferences.”

Optimization Operations

Please follow the steps and instructions below to optimize the computer environment.

Update Drivers

If the drivers on your computer are not kept up to date, it may result in poor performance or conflicts between devices. It is recommended to update the drivers to the latest versions to ensure that all hardware devices on your computer can perform at their best.

However, if we check each device in the computer one by one, connect to the manufacturer's website to find the latest driver, and then download and install them one by one, it can be a time-consuming and labor-intensive task to keep all drivers updated.

Driver Booster

There is an easy and efficient way to recommend: you only need to install the software Driver Booster. This software can automatically update all device drivers on your computer, saving you the time of searching and downloading from various manufacturer websites. Although the free version of Driver Booster limits the number of drivers that can be updated, you can uninstall and reinstall this software to continue updating the remaining drivers.

After all drivers have been updated, remember to uninstall the Driver Booster software at the end to avoid its potential background operation, which may affect computer performance.

Remove Unnecessary Software

It is advisable to remove software that you do not use. While having this software installed might not cause issues, some software may run in the background or hide in system services. Removing unnecessary or unused software can help improve overall computer performance.

Control Panel Programs and Features

Shorten Boot Wait Time

Some Marketing Robots are designed to reboot the computer. If we can shorten the boot time of the Windows computer, it will greatly help the robot's reboot performance.

Press the [Windows Key] + [R] to bring up the Run window. Please enter the command "msconfig" to open Boot Change wait time to 3 seconds

Run Disk Cleanup

There are many unnecessary junk files in the hard drive. Clearing these files helps reduce data search time, significantly improving file system performance. Don't forget to clean up system files at the same time.

Run Disk Defragmentation

The storage locations of data on the hard drive can become disorganized, leading to poor search efficiency. A defragmented and optimized hard drive can greatly enhance performance, speeding up software execution.

Run Chrome Cleanup Tool

Chrome Cleanup Tool

Some Marketing Robots may use the Chrome browser, so keeping the browser clean is very important. It is recommended to run the Chrome Cleanup Tool to maintain a clean Chrome browser. This application scans for and removes software that may cause problems with Chrome.

Disabling Interferences

Please follow the steps and instructions below to eliminate unnecessary scheduled tasks or notifications in the computer environment.

Change Power Plan

Set the computer to high performance, disable the screen saver, and also turn off the sleep function.

Control Panel Hardware and Sound Power Options
Please select "High Performance"
Let the computer sleep Never
Turn off hard disk after Never
Allow wake timers Disable

Disable Unnecessary Startup Items

You can disable unnecessary startup items to greatly reduce boot time.

Press the [Windows Key] + [R] to bring up the Run window. Please enter the command "msconfig" to open Startup Open Task Manager Startup Select unnecessary items (Right-click) Disable

Disable Automatic Updates

Windows automatic updates often interrupt the operation of the Marketing Robot, causing marketing tasks to halt. We recommend turning off Windows automatic updates to eliminate this interference. In the future, you can manually update Windows.

Win Updates Disabler

Please download the free software Win Updates Disabler and run it as an administrator to directly disable Windows automatic updates.

Disable Disk Defragmentation Scheduling

Running disk defragmentation can slow down hard drive access speeds, causing the Marketing Robot to operate slowly or even stop. It is recommended to disable this schedule and perform it manually as needed in the future.

Disable Google Chrome Notifications

Google Chrome notifications can obscure web pages and potentially cause the Marketing Robot to misidentify, so it is recommended to disable them to ensure safety.

After opening Google Chrome settings, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Advanced" to access advanced options. Under Privacy and Security, find "Site Settings," which controls the information websites can use and the content they can show you. From the Site Settings, find the "Notifications" option. By default, it is set to "Ask before sending," which prompts a message each time you open a site that pushes notifications. Click to open the "Notifications" settings, and turn off the toggle in the top right corner, indicating that the setting has been successfully changed to "Blocked."

Do Not Install Antivirus Software

Antivirus software acts like a gatekeeper, monitoring and filtering every action of applications (including the Marketing Robot). Computers with antivirus software installed will generally have poorer execution performance. Therefore, we recommend not installing antivirus software. In case of a virus, Windows 10 has a reset mechanism that can restore the system to its original operating environment with just one click. If you insist on installing antivirus software, remember to configure the Marketing Robot program to be excluded from detection and also disable desktop notifications and virus scanning scheduling.

Disable Windows Defender

Windows Defender is the antivirus software built into the Windows operating system by Microsoft. In Windows 10, Windows Defender is enabled by default. Although this software is relatively basic, it can still affect computer performance when running in the background. Therefore, it is recommended to disable Windows Defender.

Press [Windows Key] + [R] to bring up the Run window, enter the command "gpedit.msc" to open the "Local Group Policy Editor" window, and then select "Computer Configuration" Administrative Templates Windows Components Windows Defender Real-time Protection, and double-click on "Turn off real-time protection" on the right screen. Check "Enabled" and click [Apply] to finish.

Disable Desktop Notifications

Desktop notifications can distract the Marketing Robot, interfering with task operations. It is recommended to disable desktop notifications to ensure uninterrupted robot operation.

Start Settings Notifications & Actions Turn off all

Disable Privacy Settings

Since the computer is used to run the Marketing Robot, privacy settings do not need to be enabled. Turning off all privacy settings helps reduce system detection.

Start Settings Privacy Privacy settings are enabled by default (please turn them all off)

Disable Power Saving Mode

Power saving mode turns off the network during low power to save energy. To avoid being forced to log off due to network disconnection caused by power-saving features, disable the power-saving mode for the network interface card.

Computer Right-click Properties Device Manager Network Adapters Power Management (do not check)

Disable System Protection

System protection uses regular backups to restore the system to a certain point in time if problems occur, but restoration relies on backups. Computer backups consume memory and hard drive write speed, which can affect the Marketing Robot's operation. It is recommended to disable system protection.

Control Panel System System Protection Turn off all

Others

Please carefully check all options in the settings or control panel. Turning off unused options can improve the computer's execution efficiency.
